Alumni & Development nurtures a culture of pride and philanthropy at UVic and generates resources for the University's priorities. It comprises a committed staff team who work both centrally and in faculties and departments to identify opportunities where donors and alumni can be instrumental in enhancing the university’s programs, research, and student support.
Advancement Services provides operational programs and services that support the Alumni & Development unit. The Advancement Services functions Gift Services, Advancement Operations, and Prospect Research. Services provided by the Advancement Services Operations team include analytics and business intelligence, business analysis, project and strategy management, data and systems management, vendor management, systems training and user support.

The salary range for this position is:
- Recruitment range: $62,989- $69,444 starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.
- Performance range: $81,896 salary range ceiling is available through annual performance increases.
Mandate:
Reporting to the Data and Systems Manager, the Database Admin Coordinator plays an integral role in ensuring a data driven culture across Alumni and Development by working closely with internal and campus stakeholders to provide systems access, training and quality data to meet the division goals and Advancement service plans.
Objectives:
- Supports the Data and Systems team to ensure contact data is fit for use by fundraisers, campus partners, and the alumni association, to meet UVic fundraising and UVic Alumni Relations Alumni engagement goals.
- Works with division partners to provide systems access and to deliver and maintain an internal training program for employees who use our systems.
- Works with the manager to administer and supervise any student and casual staff including recruiting, scheduling, performance development, coaching, and workload management
This position requires a bachelor’s degree, training, and experience equivalent to 3 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Assets or Preferences:
- Knowledge of FOIPPA, systems security, Records management and CASL
- Cloud systems, research, and search tools
- Import-O-Matic and the Raiser’s Edge database experience Accepted business techniques to ensure quality assurance
