As part of the front-line staff this position is responsible for ensuring that all customers are provided with top-notch customer service, consultation and explanation of required vehicle services and tire requirements.
Detailed as:
Ensure customers are greeted and welcomed offering assistance and information when/if needed. Answering the phone professionally.
Act as a liaison between the customer and the technicians. Good communication skills are essential; must have the ability to serve the customer in a professional manner and to inspire their confidence and trust.
Ascertain problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; checking vehicle maintenance records; advising customer of any deferred services; examining service allotted times schedule. Prepare workorder by describing symptoms and problems, as well as repairs and services required.
Prepare quotes and advising customer of recommended repairs and maintenance services; explaining repairs/services recommended, advisers must be able to translate technical terms and procedures into something the customer can understand; obtaining approval from customer.
Prepare tire quotes
Inventory control
Scheduling - coordinate all scheduling for shop
Invoicing - responsible for ensuring that all invoicing is accurate and appropriate monies have been collected/processed.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
- ability to work effectively with auto parts ordering systems and computerized work order system. Knowledge of Protractor Software a major benefit.
