The Custom Shop team works with customers to deliver custom and pre-finished window and door products to the luxury market not currently supported by the core manufacturing team at Loewen. We offer a unique and challenging work environment that encourages out-of-the-box thinking.

We are looking for a Finisher to join our Custom Shop team. This is a full-time, band 3B position on the day shift.

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

As a finisher within the Custom Shop team, you will:

  • Apply various paints, primers, and topcoats with pneumatic sprayers and brushes
  • Apply standard and custom stains, often with multiple complex layers
  • Prep and clean window and door components for the finishing process
  • Wire-brush and distress product as required
  • Prepare custom finish samples for potential customers
  • Work as a member of the team to ensure product produced meets exceptional quality standards
  • Partner with Leadership to ensure workload is prioritized and completed as promised to our customers
  • Maintain organization throughout the finishing processes to maximize productivity
  • Ensure our work environment is safe and clean according to 5S standards

The following will be considered assets:

  • Experience in painting, staining, and finishing
  • Experience working with various Loewen products (Awning/Casement, Terrace Door, Picture, etc.), or experience in the wood window and door or millwork industries
