Salary: $23.00-$25.00 per hour to start (depending on experience)
Expected hours: 40 per week (5 days per week, 8 hours per day)
Job description:
Westcoast Moulding & Millwork is currently looking to hire an experienced shop woodworker to join our team. You must be a team player with a positive attitude and take pride in your work. You must have experience with multiple areas of shop work including cutting, machining, sanding & assembly. You will be responsible for the manufacturing of doors, stairs and other wood related fabrications and installs.
We offer advancement for motivated employees. Accepting apprentices and red seal graduates from the Cabinetmaker / Joiner program.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Applicants must have shop woodworking finishing experience (THIS MEANS KNOWLEDGE WORKING WITH VARIOUS HARDWOODS, FURNITURE MAKING, CLAMPING, SANDING CUTTING ETC.)
· Team player, attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work well with others with while also able to work independently with minimal supervision
· Forward thinking and excellent problem-solving skills is a must
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Must be able to multitask
· Check and maintain machinery daily as per manufacturers recommended schedule
· Maintain a clean and organized working environment
· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
· CNC experience would be a bonus
