The Opportunity:
Under Sunwing Vacations, we are looking for an Inventory Coordinator to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As an Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible to action operational duties to effectively support room inventory management, supplier relationships and departmental responsibilities. The position reports to the Senior Manager Commercial Development and Inventory and will be located in Toronto, ON.
What You'll do:
- Monitor room-to-seat ratios and request supplemental rooms/reduced cut offs where needed
- Source destination intelligence for opportunities for room inventory
- Analyze trends and assist with demand forecasting
- Work in collaboration with commercial teams to develop seasonal product plans
- Monitor performance of connected hotels
- Process Integrated hotel changes
- Accurately report rooms in a timely manner (i.e., recaps, EBB’s, promos, reductions, new reservations)
- Action stop-sells including reporting to suppliers
- Action requests from the SRP program
- Process PCS contracts (Inventory Role)
- Issue & deliver sales reports and booking recaps to suppliers, internal departments as required
- Manage Supplier Activity Reporting including parameter set-up, maintenance of distribution email lists and monitoring OPS SAR in-box ensuring all communication received is actioned as required
- Coordinate hotel relocations using ARCC program as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Understanding of the travel industry coupled with 1 years’ experience in tour operations.
- Strong commercial/sales sense.
- Person must be organized, analytical and work well under pressure with minimum supervision
- Good prioritization/time management skills and understanding of time sensitivity
- Working knowledge of TTS
- Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Power BI
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with an understanding of the role and interaction between departments.
