We specialize in Demolition, Excavation & Shoring, Site Servicing, Preload, Earthworks, and Site Preparation. With strong leadership and a positive, team-driven culture, we’re expanding and looking for an experienced Lead Construction Estimator to join our team.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Estimator with proven experience in earthworks, demolition, shoring, and civil projects. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of project scopes, cost control, and competitive bidding. This role will lead the estimating process, from takeoffs and tender preparation to subcontractor pricing and proposal submission, while working closely with clients and suppliers to secure profitable projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for earthworks, excavation, demolition, shoring, and site preparation projects
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, cost breakdowns, and tender submissions
- Review and issue RFQs (Requests for Quotes) to subcontractors and suppliers, comparing and analyzing quotations for best value and scope coverage
- Prepare and submit quotation letters, tender documents, and proposal packages
- Track tender closing dates and monitor post-tender award status
- Capture and organize vital bid information for post-tender analysis
- Communicate directly with clients to obtain tender information and maintain all documentation in the bid folder
- Participate in tender meetings with clients and consultants
- Support the project transition process from bid award to hand-off with the project management team
- Perform additional estimating and cost-analysis duties as required
Employment Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Estimation, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in estimating (earthworks, excavation, or civil construction strongly preferred)
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proven experience leading the full estimating and tendering process
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with estimating and takeoff software such as:
- HCSS HeavyBid
- Agtek
- Bid2Win
- PlanSwift
- Bluebeam
- AutoCAD 2D/3D
(or similar industry-standard programs)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Excellent English skills, both oral and written
- High attention to detail and accuracy

Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
