Concrete Falsework/Scaffold Erectors

Start Date: April 1, 2024
Responsibilities
- Unload scaffolding equipment
- Ensure a stable base for scaffolding
- Erect scaffolding poles
- Fix scaffolding to buildings or structures
- Lay planks for workers to walk on
- Fix guard rails and safety netting
- Dismantle scaffolding when a project is complete
Requirements
- Follow strict health and safety rules
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Follow safety programs and legislation
- Be physically fit, as the job involves lifting, carrying, pulling, and moving heavy items
- Be able to bend, climb, kneel, and use ropes
- Be proficient in reading blueprints
- Have knowledge of using hand and power tools
- Understand how to use power/small tools such as plate tampers, carb saws, etc.
- Ability to work long hours (10+ hour days) outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical able to perform heavy manual tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving heavy materials up to 50lbs
- Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day

- Strong communication / listening skills and ability to follow direction
