Safetech Scaffold Ltd. is currently seeking SCAFFOLD JOURNEYPERSON. Job requirements:
- Ensure health and safety protocols are always followed
- Be able to work efficiently and maintain an organized method
- Value teamwork
- Be punctual, reliable, and a "self-starter"
- Have excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate practical problem-solving ability
- Be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs consistently
- Provide own CSA approved steel-toed boots and a hard hat
Job duties:
- Assist scaffold crews in erecting and dismantling of scaffold
- Assist in tracking of on-site scaffolding materials
- Climb heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints
- Perform other duties as directed
Job Qualifications:
- Scaffolding experience required (minimum 4 years)
- Journeyperson ticket or equivalent certification (required)
- Confidently use hand/power tools safely (required)
- Fall protection certification (an asset, training can be provided)
- First Aid certification (an asset, training can be provided)
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract (an asset, not required)
Working Conditions:
- This is moderately strenuous work. Scaffolders must be capable of performing repetitive tasks and may require extended periods of standing, crouching, crawling, or kneeling.
- There may be potential exposure to high noise levels and hazards associated with job sites.
- Must be willing and able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, year-round.
