The Commercial Operations Manager supports the efficient and compliant execution of commercial activities in Canada by managing office operations, contracts, events, vendor and employee onboarding, and cross-functional projects with commercial, market access and medical teams. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations and enables the success of strategic initiatives through strong coordination, communication, and organizational support. This role will report directly to the General Manager, Canada.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the argenx Toronto office, liaising with the landlord and various vendors to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Process letters of agreement for grants, sponsorships, advisory boards, speaker programs, and consulting agreements, and facilitate payments to HCPs, HCOs, and vendors in a compliant manner
- Submit team contracts for processing and legal review
- Provide advisory board support, including tracking attendee invitations, RSVPs, contract details, proof of attendance, payment submissions, venue sourcing, logistical support, meals, meeting rooms, and liaising with agencies facilitating the advisory board
- Project management for team/sales meetings, product launches, and all-employee national meetings, including sourcing venues, budgeting, managing attendees, setting up and overseeing site registration, coordinating AV for meeting rooms, arranging keynote speakers, organizing team-building activities, creating agendas, handling food and beverage, accommodations, travel, and collaborating with agencies on themes, slides, and communications
- Assist in planning and coordinating HCP travel arrangements for business-related events such as conferences, training sessions, or meetings. This includes booking flights, arranging ground transportation, securing hotel accommodations, and managing all logistical details to meet HCP needs
- Support new vendor onboarding by collecting and verifying necessary documentation, such as tax information and payment details, and setting up the vendor in the company’s systems to track orders, payments, and communications, thereby preventing errors in invoicing, tax reporting, and legal compliance
- Facilitate new employee onboarding by integrating new hires into the company and ensuring they have the tools, resources, and support needed for success. This includes introducing company culture, providing training on job responsibilities and company policies, and facilitating team introductions
- Develop PO/contract trackers and sponsorship/speaker program trackers to provide the team with full visibility and quick reference to key information, including requestor, contract particulars (name, value, vendor IDs, GL & cost centers, commodity codes)
