The Opportunity (Onsite - Toronto, ON)
Are you a highly motivated individual with a passion for sales? Carbon6 is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our high-energy and talented sales team and contribute to our company's success, and drive our company’s success to new heights.

On our Business Development team, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping our outreach strategies, building relationships, and identifying market potential in the ecommerce space. You’ll manage the initial stages of the sales cycle by qualifying leads for the Account Executives. This position offers a strong foundation for your sales career in a fast-paced startup, with ample opportunities for growth and learning.
Your Impact
Lead Generation: Proactively identify and qualify potential clients, creating opportunities and setting up high-value meetings for our Account Executives. Utilize research and data to prioritize outreach efforts and build a robust sales pipeline.
Sales Acumen: Generate new business by prospecting outbound leads through cold outreach to uncover their specific business needs and pain points. Maintain a high volume of cold-calling volume of 65-100 calls per day with the intent to qualify key leads.
Highly Self-Motivated: Hardworking and proactive professional with strong business acumen, ready to contribute to our growing Business Development team. Demonstrates a high level of energy and enthusiasm in taking ownership of tasks and driving results.
Goal-Oriented: Driven to meet and exceed monthly targets and KPIs, consistently maintaining a positive attitude and a growth mindset. Focuses on continuous improvement, regularly assessing performance to identify areas for development.
Active Learner: Continuously develops sales skills through regular training and review cycles, with a strong passion for e-commerce and technology. Seeks to understand the latest industry trends and how they impact customer needs.
Sales Collaboration: Actively partners with Account Executives, marketing teams, and leadership to align strategies, share insights, and drive cohesive efforts. Communicates effectively across teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.

Your Qualifications
Proven Experience: 6-12+ months of sales experience, with a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in sales. Industry experience in a B2B/SaaS and/or ecommerce experience is a plus.
Sales Driven: You’re driven and motivated to initiate conversations, consistently reaching out to prospects and creating opportunities. You work independently, taking initiative to engage leads and build a pipeline without needing external motivation.
Results-Driven: You have a proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding goals. You have a passion for achieving excellence and thrive in competitive environments. Your strong work ethic and results-driven mindset push you to consistently strive for success.
Strong Communication: You convey information clearly and effectively through various channels, ensuring understanding and engagement from diverse audiences.
Adaptability: You thrive in a fast paced, unstructured environment, and can quickly change priorities, challenges and environments. You can bring structure when needed while remaining flexible and effective.
Growth Mindset: You are motivated to continuously learn and develop your sales skills, contributing to the growth of a fast-expanding company. You strive to be 1% better everyday.
Self-Starter: You're driven, proactive, and always ready to get things done. You are autonomous, able to take initiative and drive projects without needing external motivation.
Bonus Points: Proven experience in hitting and exceeding targets, with a strong track record in cold calling. Also, fluency in multiple languages to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse global clientele.
