Suspended Stages Inc. is a specialized provider of fall protection systems, swing stage equipment rentals, inspections, and training across BC. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and enjoys supporting multiple departments while working closely with external accountants.
Key Responsibilities:
- File GST, PST, and EHT; prepare and submit WorkSafeBC reports.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries in Sage 50 Canadian Edition.
- Process accounts payable data entry.
- Execute month-end and year-end close.
- Complete bi-weekly payroll, including ROEs, and benefits administration.
- Handle the onboarding process for new hires, including required documentation and payroll setup.
- Prepare and deliver periodic financial reports to banks, management, and stakeholders.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready financial filing systems.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 Canadian Edition (required).
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations - In-House training (Ceridian).
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
