Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our Clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records for daily restaurant operations using Sage accounting software.
- Record and reconcile all income, expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and process invoices, vendor payments, and payroll in compliance with company policies.
- Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and cash flow tracking.
- Manage inventory and cost tracking related to food, beverage, and restaurant supplies.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, including sales, labor costs, and food costs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, including sales tax filings.
- Support management with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, providing clear documentation for audits.
- Collaborate closely with restaurant management and external accountants to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
Requirements
- Proven restaurant bookkeeping experience (minimum 2–3 years) is a must.
- Proficiency with Sage software (required).
- Strong understanding of restaurant financial operations, including inventory, payroll, and sales tax.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

- Restaurant Bookkeeping: 3 years (required)
