Position: Part-time Bar Staff
Location: Montreal, QC
Compensation: $18/hour + tips
Schedule: Thursday–Sunday evenings (approx. 400 shows/year; additional shifts possible)

Montreal Improv is a vibrant theatre dedicated to comedy, creativity, and community. With over 400 shows each year, we provide an energetic and welcoming space for performers and audiences alike. We’re looking for friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented bar staff who share our passion for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
What You’ll Do
A typical shift may include:
- Preparing the bar for service (cleaning counters, wiping tables, cutting limes, restocking supplies)
- Serving drinks quickly and efficiently (no fancy cocktails, just straightforward service)
- Preparing light food items (our specialty: grilled cheese)
- Occasionally selling tickets at the bar
- Maintaining cleanliness during shows (dusting bottles, wiping surfaces)
- Closing duties: cleaning, sanitizing, restocking, cleaning bathrooms, putting chairs away, and restocking the fridge
What We’re Looking For
- Experience serving alcohol (valid alcohol service certification preferred)
- Food handling knowledge (MAPAQ certification an asset)
- Reliability, friendliness, and a genuine commitment to keeping the space clean and safe
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, lively environment
- Professionalism and a positive attitude — you help set the tone for our guests’ experience
