Bar Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the operations of our bar and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the food and beverage industry, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional service standards. The Bar Manager will be responsible for managing staff, inventory, and customer relations while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bar operations and manage staff to ensure efficient service.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on bar procedures and customer service standards.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling costs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling and alcohol service.
• Develop and implement creative drink menus that enhance the customer experience.
• Handle cash management, including processing transactions using Micros POS systems.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
• Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in the onboarding process for new team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant management or bar management is required.
• Strong background in alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, customer service operations.
• Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills in a hospitality setting.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with patrons.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food and drinks handling.
• Experience in cash handling procedures and financial reporting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
