Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the operations of our bar and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the food and beverage industry, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional service standards. The Bar Manager will be responsible for managing staff, inventory, and customer relations while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily bar operations and manage staff to ensure efficient service.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on bar procedures and customer service standards.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling and alcohol service.
- Develop and implement creative drink menus that enhance the customer experience.
- Handle cash management, including processing transactions using Micros POS systems.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in the onboarding process for new team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or bar management is required.
- Strong background in alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, customer service operations.
- Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills in a hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with patrons.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food and drinks handling.
- Experience in cash handling procedures and financial reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
