Asphalt Spreader Operator – Experienced
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Asphalt Spreader Operator with experience operating CAT asphalt pavers and using automatic grade and slope control systems. This role involves leading a paving crew and working in active, fast-paced job sites to ensure high-quality paving results.
Please note: This position requires regular travel across Ontario. You must be comfortable being on the road for extended periods (days or weeks at a time). All accommodations are provided by the company while working out of town.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CAT pavers with automatic grade and slope controls
- Maintain consistent mat quality and paving efficiency
- Lead or coordinate with crew members on-site
- Communicate with foremen and site supervisors to meet job timelines
- grease lube and daily machine maintenance
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience operating CAT or equivalent paving equipment
- Familiarity with grade and slope automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret job specs, grades, and site layouts
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Willingness to work long hours, including weekends and nights when required
- Comfortable traveling and living on-site during remote projects
