Job Description Summary:
Join our ambitious team at Fidelity Clearing Canada ULC as an Advisor Onboarding Manager, where you will manage all required activities to successfully onboard a new advisor or group of advisors to the FCC platform. You will collaborate with senior management, our Introducing Broker (IB) and Portfolio Manager (PM) clients, and incoming advisors.
As the main contact for FCC’s Strategic Account Managers and IB and PM clients, your objective will be to swiftly and efficiently onboard new advisors and their assets onto FCC’s platform, using client-specific strategies. Working with various FCC teams will be crucial to achieve this goal.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling: Collaborate with internal departments to align resources for timely onboardings, including product training, new accounts, and account transfers.
- Data Analysis: Review incoming assets and accounts, identify any problematic positions prior to onboarding, and manage client expectations accordingly.
- Daily proactive monitoring of uDirect and uOpen to prevent account opening and transfer delays. In the event of a delay, work with key internal teams to resolve in a timely manner.
- Build and provide regular management reports to internal and client management on the progress of each onboarding until completion.
- Resolve or escalate any issues that arise during the onboarding process to the appropriate issue owners.
- Manage and schedule bulk loading of client data. Understand the bulk uploader system and ensure data formatting requirements are met by the onboarding advisor and client.
- Product Familiarity: Demonstrate FCC’s product suite and applications effectively for onboarding advisors.
- Support: Offer support on product usage, functionality, and workflows from an onboarding perspective.
- Risk Management: Identify and report any risks or errors immediately, suggest process improvements, and reduce risks.
- Travel: Provide onsite support for onboarding advisors as required.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of the securities industry, specifically retail wealth management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of broker/dealer platforms.
- Coordinated self-starter with a customer service focus and ability to manage complex tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities that are conceptual and innovative.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong technical competence and adaptability to new technologies.
- Excellent planning and project management skills.
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated.

Job Related Experience:
Minimum Requirement: 3+ years
College degree or equivalent work experience.
Must Have:
- Solid understanding of broker/dealer operations and technology platforms.
Nice to Have:
- Experience at a carrying broker or custodian.
- Knowledge and understanding of FCC’s suite of products
