We formulate custom thermoplastic sheeting using our customized capabilities to finish and combine with world class engineering, design, production, sales, and support. As a member of the Industrial Sales team, the Account Manager, Construction is responsible for the execution of the vision for the Roofing, Decking & 3-Ply Pool divisions through planning, implementing, controlling, monitoring and evaluating the Industrial Sales operations of the Construction Division business unit.
Key Responsibilities
As a subject matter expert, he/she acts as a professional advisor to CGT Management on all aspects of the roofing and decking Division’s activities including participation in the development and maintenance of the sales vision and strategic plans for Goliath and Tufdek, designed to meet the goals and objectives of CGT.- Participate in customer facing project management meetings during pre-construction, installation and post construction phases of projects.
- Work in conjunction with the technical team to ensure proper installation of roofing and decking systems, evaluate warranty claims, and identify opportunities for innovation and product development.
- Contribute to the development of customer buying programs to drive sales and establish customer loyalty and reoccurring sales.
- Ability to present the selling features of Goliath Roofing Systems, Tuff Decking systems & 3 Ply Pool to all relevant project stakeholders.
- Achieves departmental objectives by contributing marketing and sales information, participating in the development and providing recommendations to strategic business plans and reviews; preparation and completion of action plans and reporting out progress; implementing design, production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change in the areas of new and existing business development; marketing the CGT brand, customer service and relationship building and management to ensure continued growth and development.
- Follows and contributes to the development of established systems, procedures and policies and oversees the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization’s industrial sales programs and services to ensure that the programs and services offered by the organization contribute to the company’s mission and reflect the priorities and quality standard of CGT.
- Follows and participates in the delivery of human resources policies, procedures and practices including the development of job descriptions, orientation and training plans and performance management processes where applicable.
- Participates in the annual budget and sales plan for Construction division and reports progress towards plan goals on an on-going basis to CGT Senior Leadership.
- Develops and cultivates customer relationships with the appropriate decision makers within new and existing customer base.
- Manages contact with customers; resolve specialized problems.
- Manages the development of new business and the retention of existing business for Goliath and Tufdek sales division.
- Determine and present trends in terms of wants and needs of our new and existing customer customer base.
- Identifies and evaluates the risks to the organization’s people, property, finances, goodwill, and image and communicates to Senior Leaders. Recommend and manage measures to control risks.
- Establishes good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with internal and external customers to achieve the goals of the organization.
Other related duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education: Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent.
Experience: Five+ years of experience in a medium to large industrial manufacturing environment in a senior sales or sales leadership role with technical products, preferably in the construction industry.

Canadian General-Tower Limited manufactures and supplies coated fabrics and films for automotive and industrial applications in the global marketplace. It offers in-house designed and engineered printed vinyl fabrics for above-ground and in-ground swimming and commercial pool liners, thermoplastic single-ply roofing membranes for the industrial, commercial, institutional and residential markets and thermoplastic sheeting products.
