Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Understand, implement and enforce FINA's Health and safety policy on all sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Manage and schedule subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project timelines
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project plans and budgets
- Utilize construction management software to track project progress and communicate updates
- Provide guidance and mentorship to construction crew members
- Oversee the ordering and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies
- Conduct regular meetings with team members to discuss project status, goals, and any issues or concerns
- Have boots on the ground approach and work alongside team members
- Position is primarily site based. However candidate may be required to attend meetings outside of the site on occasion
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role focused in ICI Construction
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, including blueprint reading, building codes, and construction techniques
- Strong knowledge in using construction management software. Proficiency in ProCore is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively mentor and supervise a team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of budgeting and construction estimating processes
- Well versed with quality control procedures
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSH guidelines
- Experience with municipal projects will be considered as an asset
- Be willing to work on weekends as needed
