Hessenland Inn & Schatz Winery is located between Grand Bend and Bayfield on the shores of Lake Huron
This position would be working directly with the Inns' Manager, event serving and bartending team, kitchen team and guests to facilitate and execute day of weddings and events. As well on non event days, the successful applicant would be the key supervisor for the dining room, wine tasting bar and assist wherever required.
Duties include and not limited to:
Wedding/Event Coordination:
This position would be working directly with the Inn Manager, event serving and bartending team, kitchen team and guests to facilitate and execute day of weddings and events.
Duties include and not limited to:
-Provide administrative support to Event Guests/Wedding Couple and the Inn Manager leading up to weddings/events (via email responses, guest rooming lists, timelines, linen/decor ordering and event orders for kitchen and set up department)
-Coordination alongside Inn Manager for wedding/event set up (decor, linen, staffing etc.)
-Facilitate ceremony rehearsal alongside officiant and any other vendors
-Day of Co-ordination - point person for wedding couple, vendors, staff, kitchen
-Ensure day of event and timelines runs according to the working itinerary as set by the wedding/event manager
-Ensuring quality and service according to Hessenland's service protocols.
-Supporting the events team wherever required.
-Liase with event vendors on day of event
-Ensuring the guest experience is memorable and any issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
FRONT OF HOUSE CO-ORDINATION - On Days scheduled when no event is taking place
-Supporting the front of house team (front desk and servers) in the operations of the day to day in the dining room which includes garden side and vineyard dining
-Ensuring quality and service according to Hessenland's service protocols.
-Ensure Guest experience is memorable and follow up with any issues promptly
-Trained in Schatz wine and provide winetasting for individuals and/or groups
-Organizing reservation placements and ensuring there is a plan for turn over
-support dining room and kitchen team wherever required.
Day to day duties as listed for both the event days and restaurant shifts.

Experience:
- events: 1 year (preferred)
- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
