POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Assistant Shelter Manager and indirectly to the Shelter Manager or designee, the Supervisor will implement and maintain the overall functioning of the Program.

The Supervisor is expected to take an active “hands on” role and all tasks are to be performed both independently and within a team through the delegation of tasks where appropriate and by leading, guiding, monitoring, supervising and evaluating others to ensure maximum service delivery.

The Kennedy House Youth Shelter is an emergency shelter in the City of Toronto for youth ages 16 to 24 that are homeless. Clients may self-refer in person or over the phone. The typical length of stay in an emergency shelter is intended to be of short duration and the majority of clients use this type of shelter only once before returning to permanent housing.
