Job Title: Seasonal Sales Specialist

Season2Season is a well-loved home and seasonal decor store, known for exceptional customer experiences and quality products. We are hiring a Seasonal Sales Specialist (Shared Position) for our busy seasonal period (Sep – Dec). This role requires a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive individual ready to take full ownership of the customer experience and sales floor operations.
Availability & Schedule:
- Seasonal position: Sep – Dec, with paid training shifts starting in Aug.
- Up to 24 hours per week. Scheduled shifts will be between 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM (regular store hours 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
- No night or graveyard shifts.
- While this is a short-term position to begin with, there is potential for long-term opportunities based on performance. As a seasonal decor and home decor store, we offer ongoing "on-call" shifts throughout the year, and candidates who perform well will be given priority consideration for regular part-time or full-time roles during our peak season (Sep to Dec).
Role Summary:
You will share responsibility for delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining a visually appealing and well-stocked sales floor, and consistently drive sales. This is not just a sales role — you must proactively manage all steps of the customer experience from greeting to checkout, including timely restocking, merchandising, and signage creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively greet and engage customers, provide expert product recommendations, and confidently upsell complementary products to maximize sales.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting sales floor at all times.
- Perform physical tasks such as restocking shelves, unpacking products, and managing seasonal items (including Christmas trees and decorations, which involve glitter and dust). Note: lifting and carrying items and boxes up to 10 kg should be expected during shifts. Examples include, but are not limited to:
-Lifting products to check prices.
-Assisting customers with carrying purchases to their vehicles.
-Bringing down products from shelves and unpacking boxes for restock.
- Create and update signage and displays to enhance customer engagement and encourage purchases.
- Accurately process sales transactions and operate the POS system efficiently.
- Take full ownership of your assigned shifts — independently identifying and resolving issues before, during, and after sales interactions.
- Collaborate effectively with your team to ensure smooth sales floor operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Expectations:
- Minimum 1 years proven retail sales experience with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Experience with POS systems, handling cash transactions, process discounts, and applying promotions accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell and close sales consistently.
- Ability to work independently with initiative as well as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexible and reliable availability during the seasonal period.
- Physical ability to perform light labor including lifting up to 10kg regularly, handling packing, unpacking and restocking tasks, and working in an environment with glitter and dust.
