We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven R&D Manager to lead our product development initiatives from concept through commercial launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the R&D team members in developing new food products, improving existing formulas, and optimizing processes.
- Manage projects from ideation through commercialization, including lab trials, plant trials, and scale-up.
- Ensure all R&D activities comply with GFSI, HACCP, allergen control, and labeling regulations.
- Collaborate with QA, Production, Procurement, and Marketing to meet launch timelines and cost targets.
- Oversee sensory evaluations, shelf-life studies, and product specifications.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for R&D procedures and documentation.
- Manage department budgets, timelines, and staff performance.
- Stay up to date on food trends, ingredient innovations, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food product development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in taking products from concept to full-scale production.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, allergen management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
