Position Summary:

The Quality Control Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing quality assurance standards through systematic documentation, inspections, and process coordination. This position ensures compliance with industry regulations and company policies while driving initiatives that enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

As part of an essential service operating 365 days a year, the successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of reliability, responsiveness, and commitment to operational excellence. Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain quality control objectives, aligning procedures to optimize product reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Organize, update, and ensure accuracy of all quality control documentation for easy accessibility.
  • Verify material control, identification, and traceability in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and quality system requirements.
  • Conduct final inspections, issue corrective action requests, and generate reports to uphold quality standards.
  • Oversee compliance of special processes including welding, pressure testing, and insulation.
  • Maintain equipment preventive maintenance records with precise documentation.
  • Prepare stencil information for shipments and coordinate supporting documents (packing lists, bills of lading).
  • Draft and dispatch order delivery notifications to customers in a timely manner.
  • Assist with receiving and inventory counts when required.
  • Support general warehouse duties and emergency deliveries as needed.
  • Ensure regular updates and maintenance of the Quality Control Manual.
  • Handle sensitive documents with confidentiality and ensure compliance with operational record-keeping standards.
  • Foster a safe work culture by strictly following company health and safety policies.
  • Engage in professional development and training to continuously enhance skills.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in document control, preferably in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance standards such as ISO 9001 or ASME.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) for documentation and reporting.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Quality Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or Industrial Technology preferred.
  • Additional training in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft concise reports.
  • Proficiency in quality control tools, concepts, and methodologies to ensure compliance.
  • Exceptional analytical skills for identifying key insights and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Outstanding time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
