As a Line Cook/Prep Cook at Au Liban, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high standards of our culinary offerings. Working under the guidance of our Executive Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and executing dishes that showcase the rich and diverse flavors of Lebanese cuisine. Your precision and attention to detail will contribute directly to the exceptional dining experience we provide to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients according to recipes and standards set by the restaurant. This includes cutting, marinating, and portioning meats, vegetables.
- Cooking and Assembly
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout all stages of food preparation. Adhere strictly to sanitation regulations and safe food handling practices.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff members to ensure seamless coordination and communication. Support fellow cooks during busy periods by assisting with preparation and assembly as needed.
- Menu Adherence: Follow recipes and plating specifications precisely to maintain the integrity and consistency of dishes.
- Kitchen Organization: Assist in maintaining a well-organized and efficient kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably with exposure to Lebanese or Middle Eastern cuisine.
- Knowledge of traditional Lebanese ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavors is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented setting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and procedures.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
