THE ROLE
As a Community Recreation Administrative Clerk, you will provide administrative
support for the planning, organizing and delivering of community recreation activities,
prepare invoices and make deposits, maintain a petty cash fund, as required, maintain
and update membership database, maintain files, inventories, mailing lists, and
databases. You will also sort and process invoices, applications, receipts, expenditures,
forms and other documents.
You will have to greet visitors; ascertain nature of business, and direct visitors to the
appropriate person, provide administrative services to recreation management and
military personnel, act as point of contact for customers, open, distribute and process
mail and other material and organize the flow of information internally and with other
departments or organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND several years experience in administration or related field
Experience
In office administration
In basic accounting
In drafting and distributing correspondence
In applying policies, procedures and regulations
In using software for publications and promotional correspondence
In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, email
and internet browsing
Competencies

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
The position is divided into two shifts:
First shift: from 6:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Second shift: from 1:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
