About the Role
We’re looking for a Project Specialist to support the delivery of creative and digital initiatives across the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS).
In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders and partner closely with the content, marketing, and digital teams to bring requested projects and creative elements to life.
With the support of these cross-functional teams, you’ll be responsible for managing the flow of internal creative and digital requests from development through review and final approval, ensuring timely and efficient execution. You’ll build detailed workback schedules, coordinate with external vendors when needed, and ensure alignment with internal stakeholders on all assets. Your strong project coordination skills will help keep everything on track, with consistent updates provided to internal clients throughout each project lifecycle.
About Your Day
- Establish and manage all workflows related to creative deliverables for B2B and B2C channels, inclusive of web pages, blog posts, email campaigns, social media platforms, printed, trade materials and any other requests from the business
- Support Content Manager and copywriters to ensure text is delivered on time
- Accept ad hoc creative service requests and lead requirements gathering and stakeholder consultation prior to assigning appropriate resources
- Develop creative briefs and assign work to external third-party vendor pools for photo, video, design and content services to ensure creative is achievable, on brief and on brand
- Establish and oversee production schedules for all creative and digital projects, including consolidating feedback from key stakeholders and circulating work for review and approvals
- Ensure resources and workflows are followed and optimized within the department to produce accurate work efficiently
- Keep all internal stakeholders and vendors up to date on key timelines for all projects
- Communicate to establish and manage project expectations across team members, stakeholders and external third-party vendors
- Support vendor procurement and establishing vendor scorecards and quarterly performance analysis, as well as daily vendor management
- Support resource planning, tracking status and reporting on final KPIs and outcomes
- Monthly budget tracking, management and reconciliation
- Completion of post-secondary education in business or communications (or related field of study), or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years working in project management role (preferably in a creative agency or studio)
- Project Management Certificate is preferred (PMP preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with accessibility compliance as per the AODA
- Experience with Shopify is an asset
- Fluency in French is an asset
- Experience with pre-press and print specifications is preferred
- This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The current in office requirement is a minimum of 3 days/week (may be more depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge Street. However, OCS reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.

The target hiring range for this position is $73,113- $80,000. This is a pay grade 7 BU role, with a salary range of $73,113-$89,361. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
