Your Opportunity

Your role as a contributor on our Buildings team is to work collaboratively within our teams on the planning and creation of sustainably designed, fiscally responsible, award-winning designs. Your experience ensures that you are familiar with the design and construction procedures for both traditional and Ontario AFP procurement process. You will collaborate with team members to contribute to the final deliverables as required under instruction from Project Leaders.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the RFI process for AFP projects in the Health Sector in Ontario.
  • Support the development of associated project specific output specifications.
  • Collaborate with large multidisciplinary teams with numerous stakeholders.
  • Advocate for and inspire innovation, creativity, critical thought and design excellence both internally and externally.
  • Actively support and contribute to the PM Team.

  • Knowledge of building construction systems, constructability, materials, and industry associated standards.
  • Understanding of the construction process including tendering and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with functional programming and output specification development, including assisting with publishing updates.
  • Familiarity with P3 processes in order to provide assistance with publishing variations and Project Requirement Conformance.
  • Familiarity with clinical and engineering terminologies is an asset.
  • Skilled at coordination and document management between multidisciplinary teams.
  • Able to support the project management team with some tasks such as assisting with meeting coordination, tracking of submission materials, design meetings and minutes, gathering input and responses from team members for RFIs etc.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with or agility to learn project management software such as Procore, Newforma, etc.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and minimum experience of 5 years in project management and coordination roles.

Degree and/or experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry are considered an asset.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
