POSITION: Organizational Assistant (OA)
LOCATION: Kentville, Nova Scotia
QUALIFICATIONS: Our organization is seeking an individual with proven administrative experience, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative approach to supporting teams. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and office-based technologies, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Organizational Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and coordination support across programs, leadership, and day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing general office support, including managing mail, filing, photocopying, and supply inventory
- Supporting scheduling, document preparation, and meeting coordination for leadership and program staff
- Assisting with event logistics and planning tasks as needed
- Helping to track purchases, invoices, and routine expenditures
- Supporting internal communications and follow-up on action items
- Maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for staff, partners, and clients
Preferred skills include:
- Knowledge of office procedures and protocols
- Experience with event planning or coordination
- Familiarity with scheduling software and document management tools
The Organizational Assistant must be highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. A positive attitude, discretion, and strong attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
