.We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. This position involves working closely with physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat patients across various age groups, including pediatrics. The Physician Assistant will utilize electronic medical records systems such as EMR ADVANTAGE to document patient interactions and ensure continuity of care.

Our walk-in clinic is staffed by International Medical Graduates (IMGs) in the role of a Physician assistant. Their job entails:
Triaging
Conducting the H&P
Writing the SOAP note
Unlike observerships, it is a paid job! It is a very hands-on experience with lots of patient interactions and a great way to develop and maintain clinical skills. In addition, physicians are willing to write reference letters for candidates to add to their residency application.
Positons are located in London ,ON . This position is ideally suited for Canadian IMGs.
We are looking for hardworking, motivated and intuitive candidates and feel that this position will help them realize their goal. We have had many successful IMGs match into residency following their experience with us.

Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, providing comprehensive care to patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
- Perform procedures as necessary, including suturing, casting, and other minor surgical interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and advancing medical knowledge.
- Provide home care services when required, ensuring patients receive appropriate follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Experience in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Cerner and Epic is advantageous.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
