About the Role
As a Kitchen Prep Cook/Event and Operations Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our chefs in preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and helping bring our menus to life. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys fast-paced environments, is detail-oriented, and wants to grow in the food and catering industry.
Key Responsibilities
Accept all food deliveries and check against order sheet
Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and other ingredients
Prepare simple components of dishes (sauces, dressings, marinades)
Assist chefs during food prep and event packing
Assist chefs with line service during booked events
Maintain a clean and organized prep station
Sanitize workstations, tools, and equipment regularly
Label and store food supplies properly
Help load and unload kitchen equipment for off-site events
Dishwashing and general kitchen clean-up
Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols
What We’re Looking For
Previous kitchen experience is an asset but not required—we’re happy to train the right person!
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs
Availability on weekdays and weekends (depending on event schedule)
Food Handler Certification is a bonus (or willingness to obtain)
