Job Description
Mon Pitou Bistro & Bakery is hiring a part-time Dishwasher / Prep Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee dishwashing and prep work activities.
Must be available 2 days per week (non-negotiable).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid in prep activities such as mise en place
- Assist with overall kitchen activities such as vacuum sealing, labelling, packaging, etc
- Assist with receiving deliveries and storing inventory
- Organize, wash, polish and maintain dishware and equipment in an urgent manner
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and properly
- Oversee kitchen sanitation, including pest control and chemical documentation
- Oversee garbage, recycling and compost collections
- Close the kitchen as the last one out
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 2 days a week availability minimum
- 2 years of dishwashing experience in a fast-paced establishment
- 1 year of prep cook experience
- FoodSafe level 1 certification required (mandatory, non-negotiable)
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Attentive to detail and food safety while multitasking
- Dependable and self-motivated

- Must be comfortable working in a small space

Requirements:

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.50-$19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week
