Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety of all meals served.
- Assist in the planning and execution of daily specials and menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management as necessary.
- Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques, food handling practices, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
