Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Host/Hostess to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and assisting with reservations.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, ensuring menus and promotional materials are up to date.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Assist in training new staff on host/host duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
- Excellent phone etiquette and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help create an enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
