We are seeking a Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping individuals with hearing loss improve their quality of life by providing them with personalized hearing solutions.
As a part of our team, your responsibilities will include:
Working closely with clients to evaluate their hearing needs, recommend appropriate hearing devices and fit and adjust the devices to ensure maximum benefit.
Provide on-going support and maintenance to clients to ensure their hearing devices continue to function properly
Conduct hearing tests and evaluations to assess clients' hearing needs
Recommend appropriate hearing aids or other hearing devices based on clients' hearing needs and preferences
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and hearing device adjustments. Stay up-to-date with the latest hearing device technology and industry trends
Cerumen management
Travel between clinics may be required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working with individuals with hearing loss preferred. Willingness to participate in on-going training and professional development.
Requirements:
- Active membership with AHIP
- A license to practice in Ontario
- Active status as an ADP authorizer
- Open to new grads
