Position: Casual Health Care Aide (HCA)
We are currently seeking caring and dependable Casual Health Care Aides to join our staffing team. This role is ideal for individuals who are flexible, enjoy variety in their work setting, and are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client conditions to nursing staff or family members.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and its partners to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications
- Certified Health Care Aide in Alberta (must be listed on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory).
- Recent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (within 6 months).
- Proof of up-to-date immunizations including Covid-19.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate and resident-focused care.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in different care settings as assigned.
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care and pallative care techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including heavy lifting when required.

Pay: $20.79 per hour
