Old Vines Restaurant is seeking a skilled and passionate Garde-Manger Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The Garde-Manger is responsible for the preparation and presentation of all cold kitchen items, including salads, charcuterie, appetizers, dressings, and cold sauces, as well as ensuring consistency, quality, and creativity in every dish.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present all cold food items in accordance with restaurant standards and plating guides
- Execute mise en place and daily prep of cold dishes, garnishes, dressings, and accompaniments
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the cold station
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the Sous Chef
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation
- Support banquet and event cold food preparation when required
- Collaborate with other kitchen stations to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
- Take part in menu development and suggest seasonal or creative additions to cold offerings
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining or high-volume environment
- Level 1 Food Safe Certification
- Culinary diploma or equivalent training is an asset
- Strong knife skills and a keen eye for detail and presentation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and a passion for culinary excellence
