We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Line Cook - Garde Manger to join our team at French 50 Bakery. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious menu creations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure top-notch food quality and exceptional customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.

2. Assist in the preparation of menu items, dough, sauces, and toppings, ensuring fresh and high-quality ingredients are used.

3. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and other equipment with efficiency and safety.

4. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all sanitation and hygiene regulations.

5. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new and innovative recipes, while also adapting to customer preferences and dietary restrictions.

6. Communicate effectively and efficiently with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

7. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify the management team when supplies need to be restocked.

8. Follow portion control guidelines to minimize food waste and maintain cost control.

9. Uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

10. Assist in the training and mentoring of new kitchen staff, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a Line Cook is not necessary but would be preferred. A similar role in a busy kitchen environment, preferably with pizza-making experience.

2. Knowledge of pizza dough preparation, sauce-making, and pizza assembly techniques. Knowledge of French cuisine would be an asset.

3. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.

4. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high levels of attention to detail.

5. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude, working well as part of a team.

6. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

7. Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and withstand high temperatures in the kitchen environment.

8. A passion for food, creativity, and a desire to continuously learn and improve cooking skills.
