Position Overview:

As a Front of House Supervisor at Queen’s Harbour, you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the service team and ensuring that every guest has an extraordinary dining experience. You will be responsible for coordinating and leading front-of-house operations, ensuring that the team delivers exceptional service, maintains high standards, and operates in a seamless, efficient manner. Your role will be essential in maintaining an atmosphere of hospitality and excellence while helping to foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Front-of-House Team: Supervise, support, and guide the service team to ensure high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and hospitality during every shift.
  • Deliver Exceptional Experiences: Ensure that each guest receives personalized, attentive service and that all guest needs are met promptly and with a smile.
  • Foster Team Collaboration: Create a positive, respectful atmosphere by encouraging teamwork and open communication between the front-of-house and kitchen teams.
  • Ensure Smooth Operations: Manage the flow of guests, including seating arrangements and reservation management, to maximize the efficiency of the dining room.
  • Support Menu Knowledge: Ensure that all front-of-house staff are knowledgeable about the menu, able to make recommendations, and assist with food and drink pairings.
  • Maintain High Standards: Monitor and uphold the restaurant’s safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Resolve Guest Concerns: Address guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring that each guest leaves satisfied and eager to return.
  • Assist with Staff Training: Provide coaching and feedback to new and existing team members, ensuring continuous improvement in service standards.
  • Coordinate with Management: Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and service flow, ensuring that each guest has a seamless experience from start to finish.
  • Close with Care: Oversee the transition/closing duties of the front-of-house team, ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and ready for the next service.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of hospitality experience in a front-of-house role, with supervisory experience preferred
