Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-demolition/abatement phase of projects by accurately assessing costs and resources required for successful project completion. This position requires a strong understanding of demolition/abatement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Duties
- Analyze project drawings, hazmat reports and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope and requirements.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bidding.
- Utilize software tools for efficient estimating processes.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations of estimates for review by management.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to facilitate future projects.
- Participate in project management meetings to provide insights on cost implications.
- Must be willing to travel.
Skills
- Proficient in demolition and abatement estimating techniques and methodologies.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing.
- Experience with project management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with software for document management and collaboration.
- Knowledge of estimating software and bidding platforms, such as bcbid, is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
