Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-demolition/abatement phase of projects by accurately assessing costs and resources required for successful project completion. This position requires a strong understanding of demolition/abatement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Duties

• Analyze project drawings, hazmat reports and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope and requirements.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bidding.
• Utilize software tools for efficient estimating processes.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations of estimates for review by management.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to facilitate future projects.
• Participate in project management meetings to provide insights on cost implications.
• Must be willing to travel.

Skills

• Proficient in demolition and abatement estimating techniques and methodologies.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing.
• Experience with project management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with software for document management and collaboration.
• Knowledge of estimating software and bidding platforms, such as bcbid, is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Experience:

• demoltion/abatement estimating: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Class 5 Licence (required)
• Level 3 Asbestos Certification (preferred)

Willingness to travel:
