Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and chop ingredients for meals, ensuring all items are prepped according to recipes and specifications.
- Assist in cooking and assembling dishes under the guidance of the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques is essential.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
