We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry and construction field. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work alongside skilled carpenters, learning the trade and assisting with various tasks on construction sites. This role offers the opportunity to develop essential skills while contributing to a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Help with framing carpentry, foundations, and exterior work
- Learn to read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Support rebar installation and metal stud framing as needed.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for various construction activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety on the job site.
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction principles and practices.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment.
- Knowledge of construction estimating techniques is a plus.
- Experience with framing and foundation work
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Previous experience on construction sites or in the restoration industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
