The Role at NFP
As an Accounting Coordinator at NFP, you will be assisting and working alongside the industry’s best accounting professionals to manage the full-cycle accounting process. This includes but is not limited to analyzing balance sheets, managing general ledger accounts, recording commission statements, and assisting with month & year-end closing activities. You will also gain exposure to and assist with accounting projects as they arise from time to time.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information
- Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions
- Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions
- Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls
- Secure financial information by completing database backups
- Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents appropriately
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Handle Client Payments as well as issue client refunds
What you Bring
- Entry-level/intern to 2 years experience in AP/AR; Financial industry an asset
- Go-getter attitude; not afraid to handle ‘grunt-work’
- Quick learner and comfortable in an uncertain/changing environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Some knowledge of full-cycle accounting procedures along with a high degree of concentration
- Strong time management, organizational, and ability to consistently meet deadlines unsupervised
- Quick learner and comfortable in an uncertain/changing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of Integrity with an ability to handle confidential information
