We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk in our Fergus, ON location.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare daily bank deposits.
· Daily cash application (SAP).
· A/R reconciliation.
· Resolve or redirect customer enquiries.
· Check and review daily credit notes.
· Assist with customer collections.
· Provide necessary research and communications with customers to resolve customer deductions and disputed amounts.
· Month end duties, to include reviewing and issuing customers statements.
· A/R to bank reconciliations and internal billing.
· Scan shipping papers (BOL etc) to SAP through Enterprise Scan to ensure all documents are attached to the correct order.
· Manually scan and attached all documents that do not have barcodes.
· Comprehends and applies business policies.
· Cross train in order to perform other Accounting Clerk functions as necessary – Accounts Payable, Claims Processing (Warranty), Traffic/Credit Processing and Hourly Payroll.

Qualifications:

· Proficiency in Excel and Word along with ability to create and maintain documents.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to exercise judgment and make decisions with limited supervision.
· Ability to adapt to changing conditions due to variability in volume.
· Attention to detail.
· Highly organized with capability of planning and prioritizing tasks at hand.

Education:

· Accounting knowledge through experience and or formal education. (preferred post-secondary accounting education)
· Two or more years’ experience in accounting related field (A/P, A/R, Claims Processing)
