Temporary Youth Support Worker
Are you passionate about supporting children and youth through engaging, hands-on programming? Kids First Family Centre is hiring a Temporary Youth Support Worker to join our vibrant, community-focused team!
About the Role
As a Temporary Youth Support Worker, you will support the delivery of a wide variety of programs, with a focus on creating a fun, safe, and inclusive space for children and youth. From outdoor games to arts and crafts to youth nights, this role offers opportunities to build meaningful relationships and foster healthy development in kids of all ages.
This is a temporary position with flexible hours, including some evenings.
What You’ll Do
- Assist Programmers in facilitating activities such as gym time, life skills, baking, drop-in programs, and more
- Create a welcoming and safe space for children, youth, and caregivers
- Supervise and engage kids during program time while caregivers access support
- Support youth nights and kids’ evenings through setup, activity delivery, and general assistance
- Complete light housekeeping tasks to help maintain a clean and organized centre
What You Bring
- Experience working with children and youth in a supportive or recreational setting
- Education or training in child development or a related field is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible schedule with availability for evening shifts
- A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt

Working Conditions

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
