Yoga Coach – Contract Part time
Are you a certified yoga instructor with a passion for youth wellness and community engagement? Brentwood College School is seeking a dynamic and student-focused Yoga Coach to lead our school-based yoga program.
The Yoga Coach will play a key role in delivering inclusive, engaging, and safe yoga sessions to students of all skill levels—supporting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Located on Vancouver Island’s stunning oceanfront campus, Brentwood is a co-educational boarding school with a strong focus on balance, wellness, and student life.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and deliver yoga classes for beginner to advanced students
- Foster a welcoming and growth-oriented studio environment
- Support student wellness through mindfulness and movement
- Provide written feedback through termly report cards
- Maintain yoga equipment and studio cleanliness
- Collaborate with the Athletics and Campus Life teams
What You’ll Bring
- 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YYT) certification (required)
- Experience teaching youth or working in school settings (asset)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a student-centered teaching style
- Knowledge of safety, technique correction, and class management
- Comfort using Google Docs and Sheets for scheduling and reporting
- Passion for building a healthy, active school community
Schedule
Approximately 6 hours per week are required, with classes scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday afternoons. The contract runs over three terms during the 10-month school year (September–June). Review the Position Profile on our website at www.brentwood.ca/careers
