Citadel Fence is a fast-moving and growing fence contractor focused on becoming the premier fence installation company in Atlantic Canada. We are looking for a Yard Assistant to add to our team in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Citadel provides their clients with privacy and protection through the installation of chain-link, ornamental, wood and vinyl fences. Understanding that clients may have unique needs, Citadel collaborates with customers, industry partners, and experienced professionals to provide the right product in every situation. The Yard Assistant will help ensure that the yard always remains organized and employees have all the necessary tools, materials, and equipment for their upcoming jobs. They must be an employee who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, exhibits initiative and can troubleshoot issues as they come up. This position will be Monday-Friday from 7:00am- 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Load trucks up with materials needed for the next day's jobs.
- Unload trucks in the evening to prepare for the next job.
- Accept and organize deliveries
- Foster strong working relationships with team members
- Track and maintain inventory of supplies and materials;
- Ensure material storage yard and buildings are organized;
- Maintain equipment through proper cleaning and preventative maintenance
- Assist on crews to help fill in on sick days and time off.
- Assist the President with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years experience in construction
- Demonstrated experience operating a forklift and skid steer
- Experience loading/unloading and securing equipment or materials on a trailer
- Welding experience would be considered an asset
- Ability to operate a smartphone/tablet
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the travel requirements of the position
