Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver course content in web development, mobile application development, front-end and back-end technologies, and software engineering principles using various instructional methods (in-person and online).
- Lead the development and design of the new Web and Mobile Application Development program, creating course materials, labs, and assessments from the ground up.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in alignment with curriculum standards.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and academic support to students.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay current with trends, frameworks, languages, and tools in web and mobile application development.
- Participate in curriculum development and program reviews to ensure industry relevance.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Collaborate with academic staff and administration to support student achievement and program outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 35 years of professional experience in web and mobile application development.
- Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with modern web and mobile development frameworks and languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, Flutter, React Native).
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students from diverse backgrounds.
