We are currently seeking a diligent and hardworking individual to join our team as a Warehouse, Yard, and Storefront Assistant. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at supporting our operations in the warehouse, yard, and storefront.
Responsibilities:
- Load and offload trucks.
- Assist customers by loading goods into their vehicles.
- Stock and maintain the storefront to ensure a neat and orderly environment.
- Facilitate warehouse stocking and maintenance tasks.
- Handle the receipt of purchase orders and perform spot counts of all received items.
- Coordinate CO2 bottle filling and exchanging.
- Maintain general organization and labour for the yard, warehouse, and storefront.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Experience in garden centres or nurseries is preferred but not required.
- Experience in retail or warehousing is preferred but not required.
- Organization, coordination, and physical skills, capable of repeatedly lifting heavy items (at least 60lb).
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, or Thai speakers would be considered an asset.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
