Job Summary
The Volunteer Coordinator plays a vital role in managing and enhancing the volunteer program within our organization. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers while ensuring they are effectively utilized to meet the organization’s goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to educate and motivate volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and onboard new volunteers, ensuring a diverse and skilled volunteer base.
- Educate volunteers about the organization’s mission, programs, and opportunities for involvement.
- Manage volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for events and programs.
- Recruit sponsors for the annual charitable golf tournament.
- Work with the Social Media Director to maximize the number of golfers.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail in managing records and reports.
- Experience in recruiting volunteers or staff in a non-profit or community setting is preferred.
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
